Technology is advancing with every new innovative thoughts coming up everyday. This is the reason for even the growth of composite doors that has made its own leap in 21st century. Initially when technology is in high and something creeps inside the market, it has high price rate but within few days, it goes down. It is not because anything been wrong with its feature but mainly because new things starts coming up. With this new kind of doors, you have great flexibilities by yourself. Same things happened in case of these doors. Earlier when it started, it used to have higher price range but now the price has become affordable for many. This is the way that it has used modern technologies in providing you some of the best ways to design your home in traditional or any way you like.
You would not find any drop in quality, if the prices have gone lower with the composite doors but the latest innovations has made the rate cheaper. You will find solid time frame. This is covered with glass re-enforced plastic material that gives more strength to the doors. Apart from this, you have the wooden effect on outside of the door. So this adds in giving you traditional and realistic feel. Its strength is more and it includes things like stronger multiple lock system. Hence you have protection from burglary acts. This helps in maintaining life span of the composite doors. You can further add heavier furniture to the door and this makes your door look more stylish and heavy.
It has been seen that lifespan of any composite doors is around 35 years. If you have low maintenance then it may be 33 years. So this is long enough for your things to happen in place. Additional aspect with these doors is that now they are easily affordable by you. The prices have come down in last few years. With so many features associated with the door like heavy locking system, style, light-weight and look, the price seem to be worth these features. These doors have come up as the future door for external market and this is the reason why much of the people are going after this. You would find many benefits associated with it as it helps you in protection against burglary and give you high status.
The doors are flourishing in the market and it has uPVC factor associated with it. When you look in to the websites, it may be tough for you to see any difference between the uPVC and other normal doors. When you stand in front of these doors and have a close look then only you could feel the difference. When you look at the doors, you may be having other things like you can get an insight to the interiors of the two. One of them will have solid frame and is heavier while the other would be light weight and filled with polystyrene fillings.
By now, you have had good reasons as to why you would like to go with composite doors and not the others.

How Composite Doors Are Composed

Filed under: General — admin @ 4:48 pm

Everyone knows the benefits of composite doors over standard fit or UPVC but how are they built? What processes must they go through to get the strength, durability and the chic looks that will make them the number one on the market?
Research has found that the average composite door will last over 30 years; to get this sort of figure years of research has been done into the flaws of traditional doors which all have their strong points and have been adopted by the designers at Global Doors. So in reality what has been done with Composite is evolution and development.

The door is made up of a 70mm thick PVC outer frame that is reinforced with galvanised steel which is then reinforced with a PVC subframe to give a greater strength, a wooded inner frame is then applied reinforcing the rigidity of the door before it is injected with polyurethane foam to give core stability. Once all this is completed a 2mm grained surface is applied to give the door outer strength, meaning it will never crack, warp or need painting.

Doors can be customised to any needs for all their rigidity and strength they can easily be adapted and created to any style you need. Two glass windows, 3 or 4 just take a look at the styles on offer or create your own door in the Door Designer

Yale Locks Makes The Door

Filed under: General — admin @ 1:08 pm

Lets be honest if it was just about keeping the warmth in and cold out, we wouldn’t need such strong doors and secure lock systems. That why when buying a new front door one of the main considerations must be how secure that door will be when fitted. For many the lock system within any front door must be Yale. This is a brand known worldwide for its security values and longevity.  Many composite doors now come with Yale locks as standard and example being “Global door”.

When you order you Global Door, it will come automatically fitted with multipoint Yale locking system to compliment the security the composite door already offers.  A Multi point lock, means the door is attached to the frame at different points so there is no weak point, the result being a burglar will look for a weaker point of entry, or choose another home to burgle.

The composite door market is still short of worldwide brands, so it could be that the Yale Door becomes a brand even though, the door is not made by the lock manufacturer.

So when choosing your next front door, not only think of looks, but security too. make sure it has  a multi locking system, made from a lock manufacturer you can trust and remember the lock brand is bigger than the composite door brand market whilst these doors are in their infancy.
