How Composite Doors Are Composed

Filed under: General — admin @ 4:48 pm

Everyone knows the benefits of composite doors over standard fit or UPVC but how are they built? What processes must they go through to get the strength, durability and the chic looks that will make them the number one on the market?
Research has found that the average composite door will last over 30 years; to get this sort of figure years of research has been done into the flaws of traditional doors which all have their strong points and have been adopted by the designers at Global Doors. So in reality what has been done with Composite is evolution and development.

The door is made up of a 70mm thick PVC outer frame that is reinforced with galvanised steel which is then reinforced with a PVC subframe to give a greater strength, a wooded inner frame is then applied reinforcing the rigidity of the door before it is injected with polyurethane foam to give core stability. Once all this is completed a 2mm grained surface is applied to give the door outer strength, meaning it will never crack, warp or need painting.

Doors can be customised to any needs for all their rigidity and strength they can easily be adapted and created to any style you need. Two glass windows, 3 or 4 just take a look at the styles on offer or create your own door in the Door Designer
