In the States they like their metal doors, where here back in the UK we are either wood, uPVC or composite, one thinks it is just a matter of time before the Americans convert to composite rather than the UK convert to metal. One reason for metal doors in the States is the heat issues. Wood tends to warp anf UPVC tends to afde, something that modern composite doors are more hardy to deal with.
